Today IAM Speaking with Alan Kelly, CEO and Founder of Playmaker Systems, and Author of The Elements of Influence.
Want to know how you can model influence, know when we or organizations making the effort to influence you, industry, and in short, turn influence into more a science than a skill?

In 2006, Alan Kelly wrote The Components of Influence - so that as luck would have it, I literally stumbled onto it in the random assortment of books in the now defunct Borders bookstore in the Financial District of Boston.

Little did I realize that The Components of Influence along with the recently revised Version 2.0 edition from the Playmaker Influence Decision System, would become certainly one of the best tools understand how influence is (or isnt) at play, whether within the organization, or market-facing.
Not just a natural influencer?

Listen in even as we discuss how Alan found get the requirement for a system of influence, the concepts of plays and counter-plays (areas of gamification, certainly behavior design and behavior modeling), how a system has become battle tested in scenario planning for commercial applications, political, intelligence, and non-profit organizations.
Dont leave influence to chance - study the science, and use the Table of Influence to guide you.

A huge number of hours, and huge amounts of money have gone to the development and refinement of Alans work - even though your mileage can vary greatly, Ive found his approach, and also the many examples he and the team provide publicly through Play from the Day articles from across political, marketing, PR as well as other scenarios.
Comments or Questions?

We cover why the science of influence is necessary, how it was made, along with examples through the 2012 Election campaign (What plays did Mr . trump make an effort to run against President Obama and then for Governor Romney?), in the plays that Apple, Google, Microsoft and Samsung run against the other person on the market, as well as in legal court of law.

Inquiries, comment below, and well answer and discuss together. There is far more that people can all discover successful influence plays and techniques.
